Why do most people refuse to bite the bullet and make decisions?
When I saw this gasoline station, I had to take a picture and share with you my initial thoughts.
Why $3.99 and not $4.05? After all, most people round up or down. Whether rounding up or down on $3.99, both of these prices are 4 dollars to the viewer, unless there is a major psychological factor. And agreed, who wants to face up to gas over 4 dollars? (But think of the diesel purchasers at that station at well over four dollars, and Europeans who have paid much more than that for at least a decade.)
Tough decisions are those which address and correct the underlying causes, not the superficial symptoms. How many of us know "leaders' who are only willing to go so far, or so much at risk? They prefer to solve symptoms, and pass on solving the real problems. It is easier to leave those problems for the next person.
If you are one of the few, who actually make tough decisions and find and solve the real problems, not the simpler issues, I congratulate you. In case my thoughts motivate one of you to look a little deeper and tackle harder issues next time, I congratulate you also.
