There is a reason Institutions Are Still Working

I visited Philadelphia for our son's graduation from Wharton. As we visited the night before graduation, Gary Jr. made a point to show me the architecture of the first church in Philadelphia and its still distinctive architecture.

Then at graduation, the speakers mentioned how Wharton was the first collegiate business school established, in 1881. For those interested in more details and thinking you may enjoy a Ben Franklin statue, the website is

Looking for a way to apply these observations for this blog, led me to think how often in high growth businesses we underestimate the value of historical or institutional knowledge.  What knowledge or skill set in underutilized or under appreciated at your which, which could be unlocked for strategic and financial gain?
