Boston Marathon Half Way Point Before The Race

People across the world have heard about the Boston Marathon.

Most have not heard about Patriots ’ Day. Wikipedia says Patriots' Day (sometimes incorrectly spelled Patriot's Day or Patriots Day) is a civic holiday commemorating the anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord, the first battles of the American Revolutionary War. It is observed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and state of Maine (once part of Massachusetts), and is a public school observance day in Wisconsin.

This is how the halfway point looks before the race at 8 am.

Soon the sidewalks will be packed with people ready to cheer on the racers. For now, no one can see all the effort and infrastructure that is in place ready to be deployed to make this event a major success.
